The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society were warmly received when they visited Richard House to present the hospice with a donation of £300.

The hospice, which is based in Beckton, supports life-limited children and their families by providing a range of services such as palliative clinical care, counselling, therapy and short breaks.

Pearly King of Forest Gate Bob Paice said: “The Pearly Kings and Queens of London started out helping the children of London and I am trying to continue with this long tradition by supporting Richard House Children’s Hospice. It is a cause that our founder, Henry Croft, would be proud of”.

“Seeing the joy and happiness that Richard House brings to the children and their families is the reason why I continue to support them year on year.”

The charity needs to raise £3.5 million each year to carry out its work.
