Shopping retailer John Lewis has developed a reputation for their Christmas campaigns and this year has been no different.
Pupils at Park Primary School, Mathews Park Avenue, entered a story telling competition run by the department store and the winning entries are now being exhibited in the shop Stadium Suite in Westfield Stratford City.
The winners read their story aloud to visitors and customers on Thursday, December 12 and later in the evening the school choir sang the theme tune for the advert ‘Somewhere Only We Know’.
The children were asked to write a story for someone who had not seen this year’s Christmas advert ‘The Bear and The Hare’ and also create an artistic image of the story.
James Harris, John Lewis community liaison co-ordinator said: “We are delighted to host this exhibition of pupils work from Park Primary School.
“The children have produced some great stories in response to our Christmas advert, and the school choir’s version of ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ left the whole shop feeling very festive indeed.”
