Paralympic swimmers are set to make a splash when they return to the Olympic pool for the first time since London 2012.

Tickets are now on sale for National Paralympic Day with some of the Game’s big names looking likely to compete at the London Aquatics Centre on August 30.

Stars of wheelchair basketball, goalball and boccia – a type of bowls – will also be in action at the Copper Box Arena from 12pm to 6pm.

It’s the second year of the event that came off the back of London’s hugely successful Paralympics.

Tim Hollingsworth, chief executive of the British Paralympic Association, said: ‘The day will have plenty for visitors to enjoy, but it is particularly fantastic to be returning to the London Aquatics Centre to enjoy the swimming and cheer on British athletes, much in the same way that we supported them during those incredible days of London 2012.”
