O’s also welcome EA SPORTS as shirt sponsors

Despite their precarious league position, Orient have agreed a new sponsorship deal for next season with Samsung Electonics (UK).

They will become the new official club sponsor and the Samsung logo will appear on the front of the team’s home shirts and on the back of their away shirts.

The link-up with Orient will be Samsung’s third shirt sponsorship, joining the commercial packages at Chelsea and Swindon Town.

Leyton Orient chairman Barry Hearn said: “We are thrilled to welcome Samsung Electronics as our club sponsors for next season.

“We’re really looking forward to working with them.”

Andy Griffiths, managing director of Samsung UK and Ireland, said: “Samsung is committed to supporting football at every level in this country. We believe that the game can only flourish if the grassroots are properly nurtured.”

Video games publisher EA SPORTS have also agreed a shirt sponsorship deal and head of PR Shaun White said: “Our FIFA titles strive to deliver a truly authentic football experience by allowing fans to take control of all teams across the Football League and other divisions around the world.

“Each league is unique and it’s vital that we embrace those characteristics both in the game and in real life.”

The world’s largest online football store, Pro-Direct Soccer, will also have their logo on the team’s shorts.
