Leyton Orient have confirmed the signing of Italian striker Gianvito Plasmati until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since leaving Siena in the summer, and the 6ft 6in has played for 12 Italian clubs in the space of a 13-year career to date.
Over that time, Plasmati has never been the most prolific in front of goal, with his best spell dating back to the 2005-06 season where he scored 12 goals in 31 games for Serie C2 side Andria BAT.
It is believed Plasmati was at yesterday’s goalless home draw against MK Dons, but it could be a while before the Italian gets up to match fitness and available for selection.
