O’s boss Slade has a replacement lined up
Orient midfielder Jimmy Smith looks as if he will turn down the contract he has been offered at Leyton Orient.
Manager Russell Slade is waiting to hear whether or not midfield pair Smith and Adam Chambers will sign new contracts, but he believes former Chelsea man Smith, who netted nine goals in 42 games last season could be on his way.
“The indications are that Adam will sign a contract, but Jimmy’s situation is more complicated,” said Slade.
“I understand that he has had one or two offers, but if he doesn’t sign, that’s fine, as I have got a replacement lined up.”
