Oral history revealed

THREE years in the making and hundreds of interviews later an oral history of the new East End is unveiled to the public on Thursday.

The recorded histories, along with photographs, of people who worked in the many industries in Newham and boroughs both neighbouring and south of the River Thames are featured in an exhibition running from January 13 to February 23.

It is hosted at the Guildhall Gallery, 5 Aldermanbury, EC2P 2EJ. Open from 10am to 5pm, there are also guided tours. To book ring organisers Eastside Community Heritage on (020) 8553 4343.
