Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade is wary of Scunthorpe United striker Paddy Madden when the two sides meet at Glanford Park tomorrow.

Both go into tomorrow’s game with seven points on the board, but their records this term are completely opposite.

Wilcox’s side have won the last three of their five home games to date, compared to O’s blank at Brisbane Road.

And while Slade’s outfit remain unbeaten on the road, Scunthorpe have yet to win away from home.

The run of three wins at Glanford Park included a 2-1 success over Coventry City on Tuesday night, with Madden on target in the victory to take his tally to four this season.

And alongside the former Yeovil Town striker, Slade feels they have plenty of experience to call upon with the likes of Miguel Llera, Gary McSheffrey and Matt Sparrow.

“They’ve got experience and with the likes of Paddy Madden up front they are capable of scoring goals,” said Slade.

“It’s quite an experienced side in the key areas so we know it is going to be difficult.

Iron boss Russ Wilcox masterminded their promotion back to League One last season after a staggering 28-game unbeaten run between the end of November and April.

And Slade was full of praise for the job which his opposite number has done.

“Russ Wilcox has done a great job to get them back up into this league and we know it will be a tough game, it always is when you go to Scunthorpe,” said Slade.

“Their latest result was a victory against Coventry which would never be easy.”
