Staff and residents at a care home held a special event to say thank you to their dedicated nurses last week.
Brinah Nyamugure, manager of Westgate House Care Home on Romford Road, Forest Gate, gave a special gift to each nurse for International Nurses’ Day on Wednesday.
Labour Cllr Joy Laguda, an experienced nurse herself, also dropped by for the day as staff brought in photos from the early days of their career and swapped humourous tales of military-mannered matrons.
Westgate House Care Home looks after young and elderly adults but it has a special Memory Lane Unit for residents diagnosed with dementia.
