A boxing club that promotes peace in the community is teaming up with a TV channel to spread their message further.

Fight for Peace, a non-profit organisation in Woodman Street, North Woolwich, which educates young people and helps them turn away from a life of crime.

It will team up with BoxNation, a dedicated boxing channel, to highlight the social impact of the sport to a wider audience.

The partnership will be officially launched during the Fight for Peace Awards Night on September 19 with a star guest provided by the TV channel.

Fight for Peace Founder Luke Dowdney MBE said: “We are delighted to be working with an innovative and well-respected boxing channel such as BoxNation.

“We are very proud of the work that we have carried out to date in London and we see this partnership as a vital step in our progression.

“We are confident that, with the support of BoxNation and the increased exposure that this will bring, we will continue to grow and provide further help to young people in the UK who need our support.”
