Young athletes came together to compete in a “mini Paralympics” on Friday.
Students from across Newham took part in the east London final of the Panathlon Challenge, held at the University of East London (UEL) Sportsdock.
Ibrahim Ahmed, 13, was one of the 152 stars involved.
“I like Panathlon because it’s a charity and it helps you to play sport,” said the Langdon Academy pupil. “I like it when we win – sport makes you feel healthy.”
Newham coach Peter Crane added: “It’s been fantastic for the kids, they have really enjoyed it. It’s like a friendship group.”
