Nine community projects will soon be receiving their share of a £200,000 good causes fund at Westfield Stratford City.
The fund was set up by Aspers Casino and Newham Council to support community projects in the borough that promote education, music, cultural activities, sports, arts and science, conservation and environmental awareness which helps to build residents confidence and skills.
The fund will be giving away £200,000 in its first year with a maximum of £20,000 allocated to each successful community project.
The organisations are: activeNewham, East London Community Sports Association, Fight For Peace, Friends of Abbey Gardens, Groundwork London, Newham Super Choir, Pioneer Theatres Ltd (Theatre Royal), Royal Docks Learning & Activity Centre and Stratford Circus. They will each use the funds to promote individual projects.
