The fund will be giving away £200,000 in its first year with a maximum of £20,000 allocated to each successful community project.
The organisations are: activeNewham, East London Community Sports Association, Fight For Peace, Friends of Abbey Gardens, Groundwork London, Newham Super Choir, Pioneer Theatres Ltd (Theatre Royal), Royal Docks Learning & Activity Centre and Stratford Circus. They will each use the funds to promote individual projects.
