Two Staffordshire Bull Terriers have been seized by Newham Police today in Plaistow.
Officers carried out a Dangerous Dogs warrant at a residential address in Jenkins Road on Thursday.
A man was was arrested for actual bodily harm and offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. He is being detained for questioning at an East London Police Station.
It comes only a few days after a 14-year-old girl was found dead at a home in Atherton, near Wigan, in a suspected dog attack.
