A group of young police cadets will be showing off their skills in front of invited guests at an awards evening and passing out parade.
The 27 young cadets, aged between 13-18, have been recruited by Staff Rob Sewell and Sgt Tony Bacon with a view to learning what the Volunteer Police Cadets can teach them.
By December 20, which is when the awards evening is due to take place, the youngsters hope to have mastered a range of life skills, Duke of Edinburgh, first aid, Jack Petchey, understanding police work and helping the local community.
Newham borough commander Det Supt Rob Jones is among those expected to attend the evening which will be held at Lister Community School, St Mary’s Road, in Plaistow.
