The average price of a house in the borough has rocketed by £62,694 in the space of 12 months, according to newly released statistics.
UK House Price England data show there was a 21.4 per cent increase in Newham between June 2015 and June 2016 – the highest in London.
It takes the average cost of a home in Newham to £355,950.
England’s average house price is £229,383.
