Newham firefighters and a London Fire Brigade boat put out a blaze on a disused pier in North Woolwich last night.
They were called to the small derelict pier at the end of Pier Road at about 10pm.
Firefighters were initially unable to reach the blaze with their hoses but the fire boat was quickly able to bring it under control.
An East Ham firefighter said there “wasn’t a massive amount of damage”.
