An urban garden which helps rehabilitate people suffering from drug and alcohol misuse is set to expand after receiving a grant.
Drug Alcohol Service for London has been provided with funding and support by Urban Food Routes.
The initiative has been funded by the Mayor of London and Seeds of Change and co-ordinated by the Plunkett Foundation, Growing Communities and London Food Link.
Sue Kenten, chief executive for DASL, said: “It will be great to expand the use of our growing areas with expert guidance and financial help.”
Rosie Boycott, chair of the London Food Board, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide practical support to this crop of budding food entrepreneurs such as DASL in Newham.
“The funding and advice is set to help these small businesses to grow and prosper in London’s thriving food sector.”
