Street dance crew IMD Legion will be performing for the public vote tonight in the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final.
Viewers watched at the weekend as the 23-strong troupe, founded and led by Rokeby School teacher Omar Ansah-Awuah, were selected by judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams as one of the top 45 acts in the competition.
The young performers, aged nine to 18, hope to win and use the prize money to buy a studio of their own, as they currently rent space.
They have previously appeared on TV shows including Got to Dance and Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Dance Crew, as well as supporting Fleur East on last year’s X Factor.
IMD Legion’s live semi-final will be broadcast on ITV1 at 7.30pm. The final will be screened at the same time and same channel on Sunday.
