Community groups in Newham are being urged to bid for ‘Portas Pilot’ funding to breathe life into their local high streets.
An existing �1.2 million government scheme has been announced. Now London Mayor Boris Johnson has revealed an additional �300,000 funding to help increase jobs and growth in three schemes across London.
The winners will b the best ideas which most transform town centres affected by the economic downturn.
The closing date for entries is the June 30 2012.
