The community has come together to spread some Christmas joy among underprivileged children in Newham for the 43rd consecutive year.

Organisers are keen to thank everyone who got involved, with some singled out for particular gratitude.

These include John Murphy. the managing director of Quatrro Plant Hire, for providing the warehouse space to store the toys in ahead of distributions, and John Menzies for delivering gifts.

Toy collections were organised by Forest School in Snaresbrook, Bywaters, East London Business Alliance, All Saints Writtle, Zurich Insurance, EVS Motorbikers, Morrisons in Canning Town, Frogmore and Sunshine Agencies.

There were also toy donations from Funrise, Gallions Reach Shopping Park, Mick's Discount Furniture, BAIN Capital, London Play and River Island.

A combination of financial contributions and gifts came from Tate and Lyle Sugars, West Ham United, CVC Advisors Ltd, Close Brothers, 3i, the Financial Conduct Authority, Chelsfield and the University of East London.

Others included Work Place, Lendlease, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, RIP Fitness, Newham Bookshop, Irons Foodbank, Payment Service Regulator,
Reed Smith and Mae.

Donations came from core supporters Freemantle, Lego, Mace and Glyn Hopkin Ltd, while there was also donations from IOD Skips, Bowling Law,
Stephen Timms MP and Lyn Brown MP.

Other financial contributions came from Axis Foundation, Conway, Countryside Properties, Berkeley, London Anvil, Royal Docks Trust, John Barber, Naisgill King Asset Management and Segro.

Thanks also go to Theobald Gardiner, London Ragamuffins, Thames Water, Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, Swan Housing, London and Quadrant, Buckles Law, Trident Pest Control and Pitman Tozer.

In addition, organisers want to thank all the individuals who have donated cash or gifts via our online giving and gift sites or sent in donations or dropped gifts off over the past six weeks.

Recognition also goes to all the volunteers who have ensured that the gifts donated have been checked, sanitised, sorted and distributed to the children.

Co-founder Kevin Jenkins said: "A thank you to everyone for making a difference enabling each child referred to the Christmas Toy Appeal this year to wake up on Christmas morning to a stocking of gifts and a real Christmas Day in this, the most difficult of all years."
