Archant

As post-Olympic Games blues set in, Transport for London (TfL) had a novel way of improving passengers’ spirits at Stratford Station.

This pink sign, in the same style of the Olympic Games directions that have become a familiar site around venue stations, lit up the Twittersphere after its appearance following the Closing Ceremony in Stratford’s Olympic Stadium.

Captured by our Olympics Editor Sarah Shaffi, the directions appear over the Jubilee Line platforms indicating the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games are ‘straight ahead’.

A TfL spokesperson said: “We thought it was a fun way to celebrate what has been a fantastic Olympic Games and the passing of the flag over to Rio in 2016.”
