As many as 40 jobs will be created with the opening of a new Home Bargains store on Saturday.
The national discount store is investing approximately £500,000 in a new 15,000 sq ft store in Beckton, which will be officially opened by Councillor Ayesha Chowdhury. It will be the third store to open inside the M25, joining more than 350 others across the UK.
The retailer has plans to grow to 700 stores across the UK, there will be many more stores opening inside the M25.
Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We’re excited to be opening our first store in Beckton and look forward to welcoming new customers through the doors.
“Alpine Way will be a great location for us – we’re thrilled to be in a position to offer local people top branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
