Budding musicians from across east London now have a new platform to showcase their talents.
Westfield Stratford City has launched Westfield Presents in conjunction with Westfield London.
The new platform will host live on-stage performances every weekend from emerging and established artists, as part of its own entertainment programme.
It is designed to be a platform and place that cultivates and celebrates the diversity, creative, cultural and artistic melting pot in the capital.
A spokeswoman for Westfield Stratford City said: “A unique programme of live music events will take place every weekend at the two London centres. We will be showcasing a great range of local music talent and up-and-coming artists to suit everyone - from chilled out afternoon tunes whilst enjoying lunch with your friends, to more upbeat tracks on a Saturday evening before hitting the town.”
The new platform is supported by an infrastructure of stages and event production teams at each centre. In addition, Westfield will be working with key partners, including The Brit School, University of West London, Emerging Icons, Tech school, Universal Music and Live Nation, as well as other educational establishments, to bring the entertainment to life.
Established artists such as Jessie J, Adele, Lumineers and Ed Sheeran, have been discovered through talent programmes and Westfield now hopes to play a key part in creating a new discovery platform.
