A motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to hospital as a priority following a collision with a car in the early hours of this morning.

The men, both aged 23, were sent to the major trauma centre at the Royal London Hospital by paramedics after the accident at the junction of High Street North and Barking Road, East Ham, just after midnight.

The 29 year old man who was driving the car was also taken to hospital.

Police closed the junction of High Street North and Barking Road for a short while.
