The cousin of a mother-of-two missing from Canning Town has appealed for information six months after her disappearance.

Mary Jane Mustafa, 38, has not been seen by her family since Sunday, May 6.

She reportedly went missing from Custom House on a routine visit to the shops, according to her cousin, Ayse Hussein.

The former teacher was unemployed at the time and staying at her mother’s house with her two children, aged 11 and 19, when she was last seen, Ayse said, adding: “She left her clothes, passport and bank cards at home.”

With months passing since Mary Jane went missing, her family are growing increasingly concerned about her safety.

They urge anyone who has seen Mary Jane, who has a front tooth missing and a tattoo of flowers and leaves down her back, to contact Missing People confidentially on 116 000.
