Missing patient Jason Peirara was found in Newham on Friday.
The 32-year-old had disappeared from the John Howard Centre, a mental health facility in Hackney, on Tuesday.
He had been spotted on CCTV in Westfield Stratford City and is known to have family in East Ham.
