Calling all Great British Bake Off fans - how would you like to meet winner Candice Brown?

The champion of last year’s series of the hit BBC baking show will be showing off her skills at the Stratford Centre on Saturday.

And as well as demonstrating how to make the perfect pies and pastries at 11am and 3pm, which will be followed by a question and answer session, a few lucky fans will be able to meet and greet the star baker herself.

Born and bred in north London, Candice was inspired to take up baking by her nan.

Since winning the show, the former teacher has been busy appearing at food festivals and creating new recipes.

Stratford Centre manager Tony Whitehorn said: “The centre is delighted to have such an inspiring baker host exclusive cooking demonstrations to our loyal shoppers. We expect a huge turn out with excellent bakes and no soggy bottoms!”

Younger shoppers will be able to take part in a cupcake decorating workshop between 10am and 4pm, where they can use their imagination or copy one of Candice’s designs.

For your chance to be one of the meet and greet winners, visit the Stratford Centre’s Facebook page.
