These are the medals hundreds of athletes are hoping to have hanging round their neck at this summer’s world athletic championships, taking place at the London Stadium.
The designs for both July’s World Para Athletics Championships and August’s IAAF World Championships are similar, but have a number of notable differences.
Both are shaped like an athletics track and include symbols of every event taking place during the tournament.
The IAAF World Championships medals feature iconic London landmarks to represent the host city, while the World Para Athletics Championships medals have braille on the reverse.
Both sets of medals had input from athletes including five-time Paralympic medallist Dan Greaves and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Jazmin Sawyers.
She said: “I loved being part of the panel. It was something that I have never done before and such a unique experience to see what goes into making the medals for a World Championships.
