Hundreds of brides-to-be joined Newham’s Mayor Sir Robin Wales at the official opening of David’s Bridal at Westfield Stratford City.

They were joined at the launch of the US bridal and formal wear store by Myriam Ben-Yedder, UK MD and Brian Beitler, Executive Vice President of David’s Bridal and store staff as they opened the doors of the American retailer.

Sir Robin Wales said: “I think the quality of the store and the training invested in people is immensely impressive. To me a good company is one that gets things right, invests in its employees and I think David’s Bridal does that. Employment is created by business and we’re here to support that in any way that we can. Our residents benefit from this and its my objective today to welcome David’s Bridal to Westfield Stratford City.”

Brian Beitler of David’s Bridal said: “We’ve always believed British brides have the same appetite for style, quality, service, and value as our American brides and we’re looking forward to offering our unmatched selection of beautiful and exquisitely crafted bridal gowns – including designer collections from White by Vera Wang, Melissa Sweet, Oleg Cassini and Galina Signature – to the brides of the UK at an exceptional value”.

The store in Westfield is David’s Bridal’s first in the UK and attracted hundreds of excited brides-to-be who tried on a variety of dresses.
