The mayor of Newham has visited Richard House Children’s Hospice to find out more about the work the charity does.

Rokhsana Fiaz was joined on the trip to the Beckton hospice by Cllr Susan Masters, cabinet member for health and adult social care.

They took a tour of the centre and met some of the families who are helped by the hospice, which cares for children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

Ms Fiaz said: “It was a valuable opportunity to visit Richard House Children’s Hospice, and find out more about the vital work they do to help support children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

“We are immensely privileged to have London’s only dedicated hospice for children and young people in Newham and we look forward to supporting their ongoing work where we can in the future.”
