National Express East Anglia is in talks about proposals that could result in the temporary closure of Maryland Station during the Olympics.
A spokeswoman for the train operator said it was in discussions with partners and stakeholders as part of its advance planning for an enhanced timetable that will run during the London 2012 Olympic Games. This could result in changes to the normal running of the station.
She told the Recorder: “This may involve temporarily not stopping trains at Maryland for the main two-week period of the Games...
“Discussions are continuing on this proposal, and if implemented, alternative travel arrangements will be available at Maryland including the use of local bus routes.”
