Best known as creator of the Marvel Universe and superheroes, Stan Lee will be at the ExCeL exhibtion centre for a comic convention this weekend.

The legendary comic book creator will be the headline guest at The London Super Comic Convention 2012 - his first official comic convention in the UK for nearly 40 years.

Organisers are going all out to make the inaugural event unique and special for superhero fans by giving them a unique opportunity to interact with Lee, who recently celebrated his 89th birthday and created many of the most enduring comic book characters and pop culture icons of the last 50 years

You can look forward to getting your comics signed, having your photo taken and watch Lee ‘The Man’ in action on guest panels. Due to increased demand and Lee appearing on the BBC’s The One Show, tickets for the two-day event will be available at the door.

Organisers are promising to give visitors a unique experience with the chane to meet a wide range of comic creators from both the UK and the US.

Once inside you can have your comics signed for free by both American and UK creators, with the exception of Stan Lee, who has his own pricing structure.

You can also buy a broad range of comics (Golden Age to Modern) from as a range of dealers (UK and US).

The convention will run on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Tickets are �15 for a one-day pass, �25 for a two-day pass and children under 11 go free if they are with a paying visitor.
