Police are appealing to identify a man in connection with sexual assaults on two women on buses in Ilford and Stratford.

The Roads and Traffic Policing team are investigating an assault that took place at on board a route 150 bus in Green Lane heading eastbound from Ilford town centre on January 21 at 7pm.

The suspect boarded the bus near Ilford Cineworld, in Clements Road, and sat next to a 26-year-old woman near the back of the bus.

He began sexually touching her, only stopping when she shouted at him.

The woman took a photo of the suspect on her phone before he tried to cover his face and get off the bus three stops later.

He is described as an Asian man in his mid-30s with a dark beard and wearing a black beanie hat.

He was seen wearing a black jacket with a purple inner lining, brown jumper over a light coloured shirt and carrying a black rucksack.

He is also wanted in connection with a similar offence which took place on the route 25 bus in Stratford at 5.50pm on January 19, 2015.
