A 42-year-old man died under the wheels of a train near Custom House DLR station on Friday evening,
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene — adjacent to ExCeL — at about 9.30pm.
The victim, from Sutton Coldfield, was taken to hospital where he later died.
He is understood to have suffered from mental health issues and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Custom House station was closed until just before 11pm.
