Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Great Eastern Road at around 11.50pm on Thursday, 24 April, to reports of a man having fallen from a building.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at the Stratford Plaza development, which is on the corner with Station Street and Farthingale Walk.

A bouquet of flowers were left as a tribute on the gate to the site, which is owned by Telford Homes.

Chief executive Jon Di Stefano said: “Telford Homes are saddened to hear about the incident that occurred at one of our construction sites late in the evening on Thursday 24th April.

“It would appear that a member of the public illegally gained access to the development and was tragically fatally injured.

“Subsequent police and Health and Safety Executive investigations have been concluded at the site and have found no fault with Telford Homes.”

Police have not released any more information and are investigating the full circumstances of his death.
