A man has died after being struck by a train near Canning Town Underground Station last night.
Medics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene after being called at 7.29pm yesterday evening to reports that a man had been struck by a westbound Jubilee line train. But the man, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man’s identity and inform his family. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.
The line was handed back to London Underground at 8.27pm
