A man is believed to have been brought to safety following a fire in Stratford over the Easter weekend.
Four fire engines from Stratford and Plaistow attended the fire at a terraced house in Stratford Road on Sunday after being called to the incident at 6.38pm. The fire was brought under control within an hour, according to a spokesman for the London Fire Brigade. Police were also at the scene and are believed to have brought a man to safety.
Half of the first floor was damaged by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
