One of the London Bridge terrorists went to school in Newham, it has been alleged.

Khuram Shazad Butt was one of three men who killed eight people and injured 48 others in the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks on Saturday, June 3.

It is claimed he attended both primary and secondary schools in Newham while growing up.

Butt, a 27-year-old British citizen born in Pakistan, lived in Barking along with Rachid Redouane, one of the other attackers.

A third man, 22-year-old Youssef Zaghba, reportedly lived in Ilford.

A spokeswoman for Newham Council said she could not neither confirm or deny the allegations that Butt had attended schools in Newham.
