Commuters at Stratford station will be among the first on the Tube network to benefit from a free wireless internet connection this summer.
The joint London Underground and Virgin Media scheme will last for the duration of the Olympics. Travellers at 80 other stations will also be able to access the internet on their phones by the end of July.
Gareth Powell, from London Underground, added: “The first stations include some of our busiest and most well-known destinations and we’re on track for a successful launch this summer – all delivered at no additional cost to fare payers or tax payers.”
