Just hours remain for sports fans to apply for tickets for next year’s Olympic Games.
The six-week application process closes tonight at 11.59pm.
Around 10 million people are expected to apply for the 6.6m of tickets available.
Bosses say demand has “hit the roof” in recent days, but have stressed allocations will not be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
All over-subscribed sessions will be allocated using a ballot.
“Applications have been steady but at a high level, which is in line with expectations,” said London 2012 chief executive Paul Deighton.
“But this week it has hit the roof.
“Every day we have got a massive number of orders, which is not surprising because people have taken on board that it’s not a first-come, first-served system.”
Fans can choose from 650 sessions in 26 sports across 17 days, with prices ranging from £20 to £2,012.
Applicants will be told whether they are successful by June 24.
