The London 2012 Games officially open today.
The pre-show to the Games starts at 8.12pm, or 20:12, with the opening ceremony kicking off at 9pm.
Around 80,000 people are expected to watch the opening of the Games in the Stadium, with a television audience of millions across the world.
We will be posting throughout the day, at 12 minutes past every hour until 8.12pm, bringing you the latest from the final countdown to the Games.
Then, once the show starts, we’ll be watching and live blogging your reactions to Danny Boyle’s opening ceremony.
