The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games should take place in dry weather, although showers are predicted earlier in the day.
The Met Office forecasts temperatures will be around 23C at 7pm tonight, less than two hours before the opening ceremony begins, falling to 21C by 10pm.
Some light rain is expected in Stratford this morning, until roughly about 1pm.
Once the rain stops temperatures will increase from 20C to the later hotter temperatures of the evening.
Moving into the next few days, the first weekend of the Games starts dry, with temperatures getting to 21C tomorrow, but on Sunday some rain will move in, according to the Met Office.
