Students from east London have been carrying out voluntary humanitarian and education work in India as part of their college cricket team tour.
They have played improvised matches with local sides and run coaching sessions for children from rural communities near Mumbai and Pune.
The students from the University of East London visited two colleges in Mumbai last Thursday to talk about living and studying in Britain, then took part in a debate on Friday with the Mumbai Rotary Club on issues about education and improving society through sport.
They are working with communities as sporting ‘ambassadors’ and promoting London and the UEL through cricket.
