Newham Council’s cabinet members for health and the environment have been announced.

Councillor Rachel Tripp from Forest Gate ward will be the environment and highways cabinet member, while Susan Masters, councillor for East Ham South, will be the cabinet member for health and adult social care.

Four cabinet members were announced last week – cllr Terry Paul for finance, cllr John Gray for housing, cllr Julianne Marriott for education and young people, and cllr Charlene McLean, who will be deputy mayor and in charge of youth safety and parenting.

Newham’s mayor, Rokhsana Fiaz, said: “I am excited and looking forward to working with this talented group of people as we enter into a new era of open government for Newham.

“Residents have put their trust in me for the next four years to work with them and for them on making things better for everyone. They will be at the heart of every decision we make.”
