West Ham MP Lyn Brown voted in favour of the bill giving gay people equal marriage rights.
Her colleague, East Ham MP, Stephen Timms, abstained in the vote yesterday. He was one of 16 Labour MPs who chose not to vote.
MPs voted overwhelmingly in favour of the bill which will now be debated in the House of Lords.
There was a 225-vote majority as Parliament took a historic step towards granting full equality for gay people.
