Council increase cost of parking permits

The cost of some parking permits in Newham changed on February 4, when the local authority introduced new prices.

The first residents’ permit and disabled residents’ permits remain free, while carers’ permits stay the same at £10 a year. A second residents’ parking permit will now cost £70 and a third will be £150.

Business parking permits cost £150 a quarter, £300 for six months and £500 annually.

Every resident parking zone household in the borough is allowed 30 free visitor vouchers a year.
