An employee at a supermarket in East Ham celebrated 35 years working at the store on Friday (June 8).
Joy Scudamore, who started working at Sainsbury’s in Myrtle Road on May 24 1977, began in the commercial department before moving on to produce and provisions.
Currently working on the checkouts, she said: “To be working for 35 years in East Ham Sainsbury’s I must have enjoyed it.
“I would like to thank all my colleagues and customers for all these years.”
Joy was rewarded with a bottle of her favourite brandy.
