Jail for East Ham terror suspect

A man accused of plotting terror attacks has been jailed for nine years in Mombasa, Kenya.
Jermaine Grant, from East Ham, was found guilty of nine charges relating to trying to illegally obtain a Kenyan citizenship. He was sentenced today, receiving a year for each charge, according to the BBC.
Grant is still being tried on charges of conspiring to improves and explosive advice after police allegedly found batteries and chemicals at his apartment in Mombasa, leading to his arrest in 2011.
He is alleged to have plotted a terror attacks on the Kenyan coast. Grant denies the charges.
