Investigation launched following bus crash in Stratford

An investigation has been launched following a crash involving two buses in Stratford on Tuesday.

Passengers were ordered off the two Stagecoach buses following the accident which took place at around 12.30pm in Tramway Avenue.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: “Two of our vehicles were involved in a minor incident on Tramway Avenue. No one was injured during the incident and there was minimal damage caused to the vehicles.

“Safety is our absolute priority and we have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Michael Tubi, 33, of Forest Gate, was passing by at the time and said traffic came to a standstill.

He added: “It looked quite bad, it created a lot of traffic as it happened in a busy area.

“People were told to get off the bus but luckily nobody was injured.”
