Investigation after body found in Beckton

Police have launched an investigation after discovering a body in grounds near Beckton Showcase Cinema.

Officers were called at 3.20pm on Saturday to a report of a body of a man in a field in Beckton near to the cinema and the A13.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Monday to establish the cause of death, which is being treated as unexplained.

Detectives are continuing their enquiries.
